RECIPE
for 2 portions
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup oats
1 1/2 cup water
1 pinch of salt
1 tbsp almond butter
1 tsp pure cacao/cocoa
1 pinch of cinnamon
honey (not vegan), agave or maple syrup to taste
1 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
METHOD
1. Put oats together with the water and a pinch of salt in a pot and bring it to the boil.
2. Reduce the heat to low and let the oats simmer for about 5-8 minutes. Stir occasionally to avoid the oats burning to the bottom.
3. Add cinnamon, almond butter, the sweetener of your choice and cacao/cocoa and stir until everything is well combined. Turn off the heat and let the porridge rest for a few minutes.
4. In the meantime put mixed berries into a small pot, add a splash of water, sweeten to taste, a pinch of cinnamon and heat the berries up until they start melting. Cook them for about 5 minutes on low heat and keep stirring them gently.
5. Serve the porridge together with the berries.
